About Me

This is me, on my way to Hogwarts.
I believe in the power of stories. This is cliche right now, I know, as marketers use it to gain clients and publishers use it to sell books and people on Pinterest beat it until it is quite dead. But regardless, for me, this power is as quiet as a prayer, as powerful as a hurricane, and as unexpected as spilling your coffee.

I bask in the power of story on a daily basis. It is deeply spiritual for me. Even if I'm watching Downton Abbey and weeping as Cora struggles with grief. It is spiritual because it is real.

When I am not reading or writing, I am cooking scrumptious food in my absurdly small kitchen in the city, or playing with my daughter, who never fails to bring me true joy and delight in the smallest things in life. I am also an aspiring crafter; my current obsession is sewing and quilting, in which I have next to no experience.

My goal for this blog is to start conversations about stories, real or fictional. I am delighted that
you have joined me.
